The conference began with a speech by Vali Faqih representative in Kermanshah Province Ayatollah Mahmoud Rajabi on the lifestyle of the late General Qasem Soleimani.
General Soleimani, the former Commander of Iran’s IRGC Quds Force, was assassinated in January 2020 by the US army in Baghdad along with his several companions. The assassination was carried out at the direct order of former US President Donald Trump.
The assassination caused an enormous wave of hatred against the US in Iran and among many Shia communities in the Middle East and around the world.
Khalid Sayed, the head of Youth League of African National Congress and South African Parliament member, Lebanese researcher Dr. Dalal Abbas, and several Iranian officials, professors, and figures will give speech in the conference which is held for two days.
An organizer for the conference said that 60 articles from around the world have been submitted to the conference and five preparatory meetings have been held so far, attended by renowned figures from Japan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and South Africa.
The conference will explore different dimensions of Martyr Soleimani’s life, including in the international arena, the Muslim World, seminary schools and universities, the area of science and knowledge, and personal life.
