Tehran, IRNA – FIVB said in an Instagram post on Volleyballworld that Iran have "defended their title and extend their reign as the volleyball 🏐KINGS of Asia for another 2 years."

Iran’s National Volleyball team defeated Japan’s team 3-0 yesterday in the final game in Asian Men's Volleyball Championship in Tokyo, with seven consecutive victories and only one set defeat.

Volleyballworld wrote in an Instagram post on Monday that Iran’s team defended its title and extended its reign as the Volleyball KING of Asia for another two years.

Asian Men's Volleyball Championship games were held on September 12-19 in Tokyo, Japan. Iran and Japan were the finalists of the games and qualified for next year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in Russia.

Iran now has surpassed China in the number of championships and became the third most decorated national Volleyball team in Asia with 4 golds, 2 silvers, and one bronze.
