Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Paralympic legend Zahra Nemati was elected as a member of the Para-Archery Committee of the World Archery Federation.

54th Congress of the World Archery Federation was held yesterday (Saturday) in the United States, in which Iranian Paralympic legend Zahra Nemati was elected as a member of the Para-Archery Committee of the World Archery Federation.

There were six candidates for the posts, from whom Zahra Nemati and archers from France and Canada joined the committee.

On September 2, 2021, Nemati defeated her Italian opponent and bagged the gold medal in the Archery Individual Recurve at the Tokyo Paralympics. She won her third consecutive gold in Paralympics and completed a hat-trick. She had already won two gold medals in the last two Paralympic games in Rio and London.
