Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi on Tuesday called for Iran-Oman to strengthen relations in the government of Ebrahim Raisi.

Zarid met and held talks with Albusaidi, who traveled to Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials and attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Zarif hailed the distinctive relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman and the efforts of the two sides in developing the level of bilateral cooperation, emphasized the continuation of this process in the Raisi government, and explained the definitive policy of Iran in expanding ties with its neighbors.

Acknowledging the eight-year efforts of Zarif in expanding mutual relations with Oman, Albusaidi said that the policy of Oman is to expand cooperation with Iran.
