The director has snatched the awards for the documentaries Dehsalm and Sarevo.
The 30-minute documentary Dehsalm is about a place located in southeastern Iran. The history, culture, and customs of Dehsalm are recounted by the oldest person in the village, 100-year-old Gholam Marvi, who touches on important subjects, such as wedding rituals, commerce, and the aqueducts that are part of the village.
The 30-minute Sarevo narrates Saeed and Abdullah who are two rural teenagers in Iran. The film features aspects of the daily life of the village people, and the role of camels in it, as well as Baluchi marriage customs. This documentary focuses on the efforts of these two teenagers to improve their lives by cooperating together despite their divergent beliefs.
