Tehran, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appointed Hojjatoleslam Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei as the new Iranian judiciary chief on Thursday.

In this decree, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the need for the serious implementation of judiciary's missions as stated in the Constitution , as well as the continuation of projects to transform the judiciary and implement the existing reform document, make use of new technologies and appoint efficient and responsible persons for sensitive posts.

Honoring the services of respectable judges, dealing decisively with violations and communicating with the people, are among the Supreme Leader's expectations of the new Judiciary Chief.

Iran's President-elect Ebrahim Raisi served as the country's judiciary chief before his election as the next president in the 18-June presidential election with an overwhelming 17,926,345 votes.
