Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani instructed the cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board to give a report on the economic state of the country to the president-elect Ebrahim Raisi.

President Rouhani asked the board in a meeting on Sunday to give reports on the economic state of the country and the measures this administration has taken to the president-elect Raisi.

In the meeting, Petroleum Minister Bijan Zanganeh presented a report on Iran’s oil sales, saying that after the US withdrawal of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Iran’s income from oil sales decreased by 100 billion dollars in last three years.

The report stated the Iran’s budget dependency on oil sales has decreased to a low of 10 percent, as the country has planned the budget without oil income for the first time in history.

President Rouhani said in the meeting that supplying basic goods and medicine have been the administration’s first priority in this period and recommended the same approach for the rest of the year.

Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi was elected as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the June 18 presidential election.
