London, June 18, IRNA – Voting centers in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Lund for Iran’s presidential election saw on Friday broad participation by Iranians living in Sweden.

Iranians in Sweden made lines from the early hours of the presidential election to cast their votes.

Iran’s Ambassador to Stockholm Ahmad Masoumifar said the crowded voting centers in early hours suggested a high participation to be achieved by Iranians in Sweden.

Iran’s presidential election is being held nationwide as well as in 133 countries.

Some 500 international journalists from 226 foreign media are covering the event in Iran.

59,310,307 Iranians are eligible to vote, from which 1.3 million are first-voters and 3.5 million are Iranians abroad, according to statistics from the Ministry of Interior.
