Islamabad, June 10, IRNA -- The new Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan’s financial hub Karachi has stressed the need to use the capacities of the two countries to deepen relations and expand comprehensive cooperation.

Hassan Nourian who previously headed the Passport Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Iran in Hyderabad, India, on Thursday expressed satisfaction with the beginning of his tenure as Counsel General in Karachi on his Twitter account.
“Both countries as friendly neighbors have many potentials to deepen their ties,” he said.
Hassan Nourian stressed that the diplomatic mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi is determined to cooperate with Pakistani state officials to achieve common goals.
Nourian replaces Ahmad Mohammadi, whose tenure ended in February last year.
