Helicopter carrier, missile-launching warship to join Iranian Navy fleet

Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA – A new helicopter carrier and a missile-launching warship are to join the Iranian Navy fleet soon, the public relations office of the Iranian Navy fleet announced on Tuesday.

"Zereh" (meaning ‘Armor’ in Farsi) missile launcher is one of Iran's powerful vessels with a high speed as well as maneuverability.

Also, a helicopter carrier dubbed ‘Makran’ will be unveiled during a military drill slated to be held tomorrow.
