Garib Abadi also expressed hope that the level of mutual cooperation could be expanded in judicial arenas.

In Dec. 2014, Iran and Italy called for expanding mutual cooperation in judicial and human rights areas in the conference on the Protection of Human Rights in the Penal-Judicial System of Iran and Italy held in Rome.
During the conference, the officials of the two countries agreed to broaden their mutual cooperation and bilateral ties in judicial and human rights issues.
