London, Oct 22, IRNA – Visiting Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held talks with UK Chairman of the Foreign Affairs of House Select Committee Crispin Blunt here late Wednesday.

During the meeting the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest including the Middle East developments and terrorism and emphasized on pursuing the political solutions aimed at settling the regional crisis.

Amir-Abdollahian after the meeting said in a press conference that the issues mainly addressed during the bilateral talks included the prevailing situation in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain with focus on seeking political and diplomatic ways to end the crises in those countries as both sides' common interests.

He reiterated that Tehran and London have different ideas on the mechanisms and strategies for ending the regional crises in the Middle East.

Amir-Abdollahian is in London on an official invitation of the British Foreign Office for a two-day visit.
