Kermanshah, Oct 14, IRNA – The era for Western hegemony against Muslims has come to an end and all the US plots for the Middle East have foiled, says IRGC Deputy Commander Brigadier-General Hossein Salami.

'The United States is trapped in the quagmire of its own policies in the region,' said Salami on Wednesday at the commemoration ceremony for the Iranian commander recently killed in Syria by the terrorists.

'Despite creating an array of problems Washington failed to defeat the Islamic Republic of Iran and the world of Islam,' he said.

The P5+1 group of countries as a symbol of world powers tried everything, including economic sanctions, to stop Iran, but they failed, Salami said.

'Our enemies are in their dooms day and the realities indicate that they no longer are the global powers and their will no longer crucial,' he said.

'For a score of years, the West has tried to tarnish the Muslim identity,' he said.

'Today, our brave and vigilant Supreme Leader is a beacon of hope is steering the ship of the Muslims towards the safe shores,' he said.

'Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, the world's Muslims have realized the modern darkness. The time has come for collapse of the policy of the imperial powers.'
