Acting Governor Einoddin and security official Aziz Arrahman were killed on Saturday evening after their car hit a roadside bomb, said Shahpur Ahmadzi.
Also, in the western province of Farah, two civilians were shot dead on Sunday morning, with no group or individual claiming the responsibility for the attack.
In another development, a statement issued by the Afghan ministry of defense, suggested that 58 Taliban terroristas were killed and 49 more injured in Kunduz, Qandahar, and Helmand provinces.
